Faulty backing
8:45 a.m.,Wednesday, April 22. A large truck backed out from 4th Street and struck a car, causing significant damage. The drivers exchanged information, but the truck driver left before the Sheriff’s Office arrived. Not only did the deputy determine the truck driver was at fault, his investigation also revealed the truck driver had a suspended license, was required to have an ignition interlock device, and had an active warrant. Charges are being referred to the courts, as the subject was not later located. Caledonia Street

5:00 p.m., Thursday, April 23. A cab company reported a female passenger had been given a ride and owed the driver $200. The rider did not have the money, and law enforcement responded. A deputy was able to broker arrangements acceptable to both sides, and the matter was resolved. Maple Avenue
Keep calm and carry on
11:00 a.m., Friday, April 24. Deputies responded to a two-vehicle collision. Both drivers remained on scene, exchanged information, and waited for the Sheriff’s Office to arrive. Both vehicles were able to be driven away afterward. Washington and 2nd Street
Board bulletin
3:15 p.m.,Saturday, April 25. A parent reported her children and their friends had been playing in a community area when another tenant began yelling profanity at them and frightened the group. The subject accused the children of causing damage and leaving messes behind. After speaking with the Sheriff’s Office, the parent decided to address the issue through the Board rather than have law enforcement contact the subject. Park Street
