Those Crazy Canadians
Tuesday, April 8, 2:05 p.m. A blue van with BC plates was spotted driving erratically in the area and through town. The driver was likely distracted by tulips, which is a common traffic problem in April. The caller lost sight of the van and deputies were unable to locate it amid all the other erratic drivers in the area. Morris Street.
Blame it on the Stock Market
Wednesday, April 9, 11: 20 a.m. A 911 call came in from the Edward Jones office on Morris Street. Not surprising given the volatility of the market these days, but when a deputy checked it out, it turned out someone pressed the wrong button after new phones were installed. No emergency. Morris Street.
Too Much Fun
Friday, April 11, 9:07 p.m. Someone hit Happy Hour a little too hard. Multiple callers reported an intoxicated woman screaming and acting odd in the marina parking lot. Upon arrival, a deputy found the woman in her car with her dog. When the deputy approached she became belligerent and started yelling at him. She was unable to function and unwisely tried to start a fight. She was taken into custody and sent to Skagit Valley Hospital for treatment. No word on the dog. La Conner Marina.
One Thing Leads to Another
Saturday, April 12, 8:30 a.m. A deputy stopped a car for expired tags and discovered the driver had no license, no ignition interlock device when required, and multiple warrants. The driver was arrested and the car was picked up by a third party. Young Road, Greater La Conner area.
