In the Sept. 23, 20025 story A Gourd-geous turnout at Giant Pumpkin Festival we incorrectly stated that Jenny Miller drove four miles from Omak, she drove four fours.
On page 8 of the Aug. 21, 2025 issue, “Neighbors craft unique childcare solution” in the photo credit, Ashton Tveter’s first name was spelled wrong.
On page 4 of the Aug. 14, 2025 issue, “Volunteers work to restore beloved La Conner salmon slide,” Ollie Iversen’s last name was spelled wrong.
On page 3 of the July 24, 2025 issue, “Caught in the crossfire: Kids left behind by federal budget battles” in the last paragraph, Sky Stewart’s last name was misspelled.
On page 3 of the June 12, 2025 issue, in the photo captions for the story, “Tiny toes, big recital twirls,” the enthusiastic participant was Hailey Lease.
On page 5 of the June 12, 2025 issue, in the photo captions for graduates, Addison Wigal’s name was misspelled.
On page of 7 of the June 12, 2025 issue, “Traditional ceremony honors Swinomish grads,”the photo was incorrectly credited. Gary Brown took the photos.
On page 2 of the March 20, 2025 newspaper, the time for the call about the boat break-in on Saturday, March 15 was incorrect. The call came in at 2 p.m. The welfare check actually occurred on Tuesday, March 15 at 12:20 p.m.
On page 4 of the March 20, 2025 newspaper photo caption, La Conner Drama Club, students Greta Oh, Annika Keith, and Airin Williams, were identified incorrectly as members of the sophomore class. They are freshmen.
On page 6 of the March 20, 2025 newspaper story “Beloved author of irreverent wit and deep insight dies at 92,” the photo caption should have read “Alexa and Tom Robbins pose for a photo during the Tom Robbins Day parade in September 2023. Photo by Nancy K. Crowell.”
In the March 12, 2025 story La Conner Fitness & MMA serves up healthy lifestyle at former drive-in, we incorrectly stated that Walter “Cascão” Vital’s BJJ system currently has 260 black belts through his affiliated schools in Brazil, Mexico, the United States, and the United Kingdom. The correct number of black belts in his system is 160. La Conner Community News regrets the error.
In the Feb. 6 Weekly Brief newsletter, the Bird of the Week photo of the Northern Shrike was actually made in Fir Island. La Conner Community News regrets the error.
