Made it to the Gate
Wednesday April 28, 9:30 a.m. Some unlucky visitor made it to the gate at Tulip Town, but no further. As the day blossomed, employees discovered the broken down vehicle blocking the entry gates. In true petal-to-the-metal fashion, law enforcement helped push the vehicle into the parking lot so that visitors could enter. Bradshaw Road.
Just Listen
Wednesday, April 28, 4:50 p.m. Reports came in about a woman possibly in crisis. Officers arrived ready to help and ended up having a heart-to-heart that got to the root of her problems. Turns out she wasn’t suicidal and didn’t qualify for a hold — just needed someone to listen without committing. A Mental Health Professional was looped in to help her plot a better course. Marches Point Park and Ride.
Get the Lead Out
April 29, 2:45 p.m. Two individuals brazenly wandered onto Marathon refinery property, passing through the gates without permission, in an impromptu self-guided tour. Deputies intercepted the dynamic duo and unceremoniously escorted them off the property. They were not pumped to get a trespass warning, but were cooperative about departing. Marathon Refinery.
Look More Closely
Thursday, May 1, 12:45 p.m. Caller’s next order of business might be to make an ophthalmology appointment as they complained the sign for The Rex was close to the road and blocking the view of oncoming traffic. A deputy looked into it and found there was a clear view in both directions and the sign did not appear to be a problem. Best Road.
No Parking
Saturday, May 3, 6:00 p.m. Hotel Management reported a car was blocking the alley used for hotel deliveries. By the time a deputy arrived, the mystery machine had vanished. Maybe it checked out after realizing it wasn’t valet parking. Case closed, and no tip left. Hotel Planter, First Street.
