9:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 29 — Deputies were called to the La Conner Retirement Inn after a person got into a heated exchange with a resident and refused to leave. The subject made several threats toward staff, though none rose to a criminal level. The individual left before law enforcement arrived but was later contacted and officially trespassed from the property — no departure bonus. N 1st Street

9:22 p.m., Wednesday, April 29 — A caller reported a possible DUI on Maple Avenue, describing a vehicle with variable speeds and lane wandering. A deputy responded, but the suspect vehicle couldn’t be located. The driver was last seen heading out of town on Chilberg Road. Maple Avenue

8:00 a.m., Monday, May 4 — A concerned citizen called about the busy school commute at North 6th and Morris, worried the intersection could be dangerous. The Sheriff’s Office already monitors the area regularly, along with a crossing guard. While traffic can be heavy, issues are rare and things are generally well-controlled—this intersection passes the test more often than not. N 6th and Morris St
