Tuesday, July 8, 7:15 p.m. Caller reported a traffic hazard involving cars partially blocking the road, one flashing its hazards like a disco ball. By the time a deputy arrived, the street was clear. Apparently, the party was over. Dunlap Street.

Wednesday, July 9, 1 p.m. A concerned citizen reported a man parked in a white box truck who hadn’t moved all morning. Fire and Aid checked it out only to find the driver was just idling his time away. No medical issues, just a long pause before he hit the road again. Conner Waterfront Park.

Thursday, July 10, 12:30 p.m. Caller reported a white truck swerving its way into town, seemingly unable to choose a lane. Deputies patrolled the area but couldn’t find the elusive white-line-drifting driver. La Conner Whitney Road.

Friday, July 11, 10:30 a.m. Resident reported their vehicle had an unexpected overnight visitor — of the thieving variety. A few items were lifted, and the suspect remains at large, their car-go a little fuller. Birch Lane.

Saturday, July 12, 1:30 p.m. Someone tried to dock their boat but found a vehicle blocking the way. Caller inquired about impounding the car and possibly painting “no parking” on the curb. Deputy suggested calling Code Enforcement before resorting to the brush. Center Street.

Saturday, July 12, 6:53 p.m. Caller spotted a man lying next to a vehicle and feared the worst. A deputy responded, only to find the man just getting hands-on with a broken-down car. No help needed, just tools. La Conner Whitney Road.

Sunday, July 13, 4:30 p.m. A couple of juvenile motorcyclists were seen racing down the road and ignoring lane lines. A deputy checked the area but came up empty. The speed demons must have vanished into the wind. Bayview Edison Road.

Sunday, July 13, 4:15 p.m. Caller reported a seemingly unresponsive driver parked near the road. Fire and Aid were first to the scene and promptly confirmed the man was alive, well, and just napping before driving off into the sunset. Pioneer Parkway.
