11 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16 Reports of loud trucks and louder music at the La Conner High School parking lot and skate park sent deputies rolling into the area only to find the space empty and quiet. Trucks had peeled off before they arrived. No further complaints. La Conner High School. 

9:22 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 18 Public Works discovered Pioneer Park was powerless — literally. Sometime over the past two weeks the main electrical line had been cut and wiring stripped from the outlets. The discovery sparked an investigation of the unplugged plunder by deputies. Pioneer Park.

5:40 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18 Administrators reported kids treating the La Conner School campus like a nighttime clubhouse. Deputies will be adding extra patrols and walk-throughs to keep the school quiet once the lights go out. La Conner Schools.

7:55 a.m. Friday, Sept. 19 A deputy and a Crisis Response Team member checked on a man behind Pioneer Market who appeared to be struggling with mental health issues. Familiar with his situation, they connected him with resources and gave him a ride to Welcome Home in Burlington for support.  Washington Street. 

1:42 a.m. Monday, Sept. 22 A wooden boat fire had sparks flying at the south basin. Early reports feared a dockside domino effect, but firefighters doused the danger before it spread. Deputies arrived by patrol boat — fire pump at the ready — but the blaze was already sunk. La Conner Marina.
