A victim reported her debit card, wallet, and keys drove off without her — stolen from her car while parked at a La Conner business. The suspects didn’t just cash in, they debit-ed the scene by using her card all over the county. A deputy put the case in overdrive, hitting multiple locations, pulling security footage, and eventually keying in on the suspect’s identity. Turns out, the suspect was already well-known in the local criminal circuit. The deputy locked up the situation with an arrest, recovering not only all the stolen items but also property from other cases and drugs — clearly not the prescription for freedom. The tables were turned when the suspect ended up with more than a dozen (felony) charges that she hadn’t planned. First Street, La Conner.

Pioneer Market staff discovered hundreds of dollars in rolled coins missing. Camera footage showed a suspect entering at 3:54 a.m., making a direct line for the office like they had a cents of mission. This wasn’t just a penny-ante theft — the suspect clearly had knowledge of the store and managed to stay out of sight, out of dime. Masking their face and dodging cameras, the culprit made off with change to spare. The case is still in circulation and under active investigation. Morris Street, La Conner.
