7:30 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 30 – Law and medics found an unresponsive person in a parked car. Despite extended CPR efforts, the person was pronounced dead. Evidence pointed to a possible overdose. Sherman Avenue.

9:15 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 30 – A deputy investigated a sharp case of theft after several knives were stolen from an outdoor storage area at Nell Thorn. The purloined cutlery, worth several hundred dollars, remains missing. N. First Street.
Paw and order
9:25 a.m., Friday, Oct. 3 – A husky-type dog went on a walkabout near Pioneer Park. Code Enforcement was called in to help redirect it home. Pioneer Park.
Not just a light buzz
7:00 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 4 – A patron at La Conner Brewery got lightheaded and took a spill near the entrance. Aid crews responded, and the individual was taken for a possible head injury. N. First Street.
