12:34 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 2 – A customer returned from a quick stop inside a business to find their parked vehicle had been struck. The driver left without a note, but witnesses came through with a photo and license plate. Deputies located the suspect vehicle, and the sheriff’s office traffic unit is handling the investigation. 1st Street

11:49 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 3 – A resident suffered a hand injury after being bitten by a leashed dog. Deputies and code enforcement responded, and the dog returned home after the incident. Caledonia Street

7:11 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 3 – Another parked vehicle became the victim of a hit-and-run while its owner was inside a nearby business. This time, there were no witnesses, cameras or suspect information to steer investigators in the right direction. Morris Street
