Not so candid camera
10:30 a.m., Monday, Feb. 17 – A homeowner received alerts from a security camera showing a would-be snoop wandering a relative’s property and apparently auditioning doors for the role of “unlocked.” Deputies reviewed the footage, but couldn’t identify the mystery guest. A property check found everything secure, with no damage and nothing missing. Looks like the prowler didn’t get past the pilot episode. Birch Lane
Go with the flow
3:25 p.m., Monday, Feb. 17 – A traffic complaint reported vehicles parked the wrong way along the roadway. A deputy found two cars indeed bucking the current of traffic. Helpful notes were left reminding drivers that parking, unlike salmon swimming upstream, should not go against the flow. Center Street
Nothing on display
1:20 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 18 – Deputies responded to an alarm activation at the museum’s front door. After a careful check, the building was found secure with no signs of forced entry. Whatever set off the alarm clearly wasn’t part of the exhibit. Museum of Northwest Art, First Street
Last call at the market
6:20 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 19 – Staff requested help with an intoxicated woman who had been refused service and responded by loudly sharing her thoughts with employees—up close and personal. She departed as a passenger in a vehicle but was later contacted by a deputy, found to be highly intoxicated, and officially trespassed from the store. Her shopping privileges are now past the expired by date. Morris Street
