2–3 minutes

Monday, February 24 11:42 a.m. The La Conner School District office had suspicious calls and wanted extra patrol when kids were getting out of school. The calls were not threatening in any way, but were odd with questions on visiting the school and who was allowed on campus. Believed to be a delivery company, but unable to confirm. The Skagit County Sheriff’s Office was on scene when school let out.

Monday, February 24 2:02 p.m. A caller reported that his vehicle was parked at the La Conner Marina parking area while he was camping at the resort. While parked, someone hit the car causing damage to the driver’s side door and breaking the mirror off. There is no suspect information, but a deputy is checking cameras in the area for possible information.

Monday, February 24 3:36 p.m. A Second Street residential alarm sounded with front door motion. A Deputy responded and found the residence secure and the owner having alarm problems. No evidence a crime was committed. Note: Anyone with an alarm should have an updated call-out list on file with the alarm company in case a residence needs to be searched or secured.

Thursday, February 27 3:37 p.m. A witness watched an older male in a silver sedan back into another vehicle and leave the area. The witness did not obtain a license plate. There was minor damage to the vehicle that remained. The owner of that vehicle was contacted and provided a case number. No current suspect information. Second and Washington streets.

Multiple dates, all calls during hours of darkness. Deputies investigated, but uncovered no crimes in response to multiple complaints last week at the La Conner Marina. Complaints ranged from speeding vehicles to suspicious subjects walking in the area.
