3:50 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 23 This repeat “shopper-tunist” finally ran out of luck — and stores. After months of “disappearing” merchandise, empty hangers and vanishing price tags, deputies finally connected the dots and the dots all pointed to her. She’s now been officially trespassed from her favorite haunts. Guess you could say… she checked out for good.

10:00 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 28 Dispatchers got ghosted — again — by a phone line that keeps calling 911 with nothing but static on the other end. Deputies keep checking, but it’s just more dead air. Looks like someone needs to hang up their phone problems.
N. 2nd Street
Hocus pocus
5:15 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 30 Witnesses reported a driver who couldn’t quite stay in their lane — on foot or behind the wheel. By the time deputies arrived, both driver and car had vanished. Whether it was spirits or the spirits remains a mystery.
1st Street
Fright turn at the roundabout
10:24 p.m., Friday, Oct. 31 A driver took the scenic route — straight into the guardrail. The car got the worst of it, but the driver was lucky to walk away unscathed. You could say the crash really came full circle.
