Clogged Lane
Monday, May 5, 5 p.m. Dick’s Towing called in to alert deputies to a disabled car blocking a lane of traffic. At the owner’s request, they towed the line and cleared the lane without a hitch. No more clogged lane, thanks to Dick’s Towing. Caledonia and Maple.
Signs of the Times
Tuesday, May 6, 11 a.m. Caller expressed frustration that the No Parking and Temporary Parking signs in front of the Post Office drop box were misplaced, likely because some people ignore them. Officers were dispatched to confirm all markings were signed, sealed, and delivered and postal ready. Loiterers and scofflaws beware — parking enforcement will stamp out any violations going forward. Goats on the Lamb
Wednesday, May 7, 11:30 a.m. Goats and sheep were reportedly on the lamb. It turns out they were just grazing near the road under their owner’s watchful eye. Crisis avoided, and no woolly wanderers made it into traffic. La Conner-Whitney and Young Road.
Not Funny
Wednesday, May 7, 11:45 a.m. First responders attended to a female in crisis who claimed to have taken large quantities of medication to end her life. Aid was given and she was taken to the Emergency Room where she was placed on a mental health hold and connected with a professional. Not Keeping Tabs
Sunday, May 11, 5:35 p.m. A misplaced clutch was discovered at the La Conner Tavern. The ID card provided a name, but the owner was missing in action. The forlorn bag was left behind, but can be retrieved when the rightful owner checks in for a tab and a tote. First Street.
