The 2026 La Conner High School football season actually kicks off with a golf tournament.
The La Conner Booster Club has scheduled a June 20 tournament at Swinomish Golf Links to benefit the Braves football program. A shotgun start is set for 9 a.m.
Funds raised from the event will help defray the costs of new headgear and summer grid camp participation.
The cost to take part in the tournament is $125 per golfer or $400 per foursome. Event sponsorships are available as well.
Sponsors can pay $500 per hole for tee signage and $350 per hole for greenside signage. A $1,500 Eagle sponsorship includes a foursome, a hole tee sign, entry into all contest holes, and recognition on the tourney’s informational flyer.
This is the first of what organizers hope will be an annual event in support of the Braves football team, which is coming off an inaugural 6-3 campaign under head coach Kirk Melton.
Registration check-in is set for 8 a.m. on the day of the event. Carts and lunch are included with registration.
Those wishing to register may do so by accessing the tourney QR code posted on the Braves Booster Club site on Facebook.
