La Conner High golfers Corran Eisen and Addi Keller kept their eyes on the prize through two post-season tournaments, earning berths to the May 20 and 21 State 2B Championships in suburban Spokane.

Eisen has a 9:40 a.m. Tuesday tee time at MeadowWood Golf Course in first round State play at the Liberty Lake venue. He is grouped with Dawson Burk of Freeman and Riley Griffith of Napavine.
Keller, who tees off Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., will play the MeadowWood course alongside Amaya Erickson of Warden and Eva LeClair of Summit Classical Christian.
Eisen qualified for State by placing fourth at Tri-District trials at Battle Creek Golf Course in Tulalip on May 15. He carded an 82 over 18 holes to punch his ticket to Spokane.

Keller was 13th on the girls’ side of the Tri-District competition, easily clinching one of 26 State-bound entries.
A third Braves golfer, Brooks Bushey, shot 98 at Tri-District and just missed the cut for the boys’ State bracket.
“I was really proud of how everyone played,” La Conner Assistant Coach Galen McKnight said. “Corran was able to overcome a couple tough holes and stayed focused throughout the tournament.”
Keller finished with a score of 111 in tough playing conditions.
“Addi had a later tee time,” McKnight said, “which meant she played most of her round in the rain. She was mentally tough and played some of the best golf I have seen her play throughout the season.”
The post-season began with District contests at Loomis Trails Golf Course in Blaine, where Eisen won top honors in the boys’ field.
“He tied for first with a 78,” McKnight said, “and then won in a playoff after getting a birdie on one of the hardest holes at Loomis Trails.”
Bushey moved on to Tri-District with a ninth-place District finish.
Keller, meanwhile, placed seventh on the girls’ District leaderboard.
The Links-style MeadowWood course where Eisen and Keller play this week is known for its strategically placed trees, bunkers, and water hazards. It has been ranked one of Washington state’s best public golf courses.
