High School Student of the Month: Rachel Bill
Senior Rachel Bill is someone who keeps busy — and keeps options open. Between half-days at the Northwest Career & Technical Academy and a full slate of sports, she’s always moving from one commitment to the next. She plays soccer, basketball and softball, with softball firmly holding the top spot as her favorite. In class, she’s especially enjoying guitar and hopes to keep playing in the future. For now, Rachel is still deciding what comes after graduation, but her curiosity and willingness to try new paths suggest she’ll find the right next step.

Middle School Student of the Month: Rory Bird
Eighth-grader Rory Bird is the kind of student who brings both focus and spirit to whatever she does. Math is her favorite class, but her schedule doesn’t stop when the school day ends — she also plays volleyball, where she earned the volleyball sportsmanship award this year. Off the court, she helps shape the school’s memories in yearbook class. Looking ahead, Rory already has big goals: she plans to attend college and is considering a future as a pediatrician or a psychologist.

Elementary Student of the Month: Gabriel Sikes
Fifth-grader Gabriel Sikes stands out for his curiosity and his helpfulness. He loves math, science and reading, and at school he’s known for stepping in when help is needed — whether it’s a small task or something that matters to other students, like packing food bags that were distributed to classmates. At home, he logs on to Roblox to play and chat with online friends, and he’s already thinking about where that interest could lead. After graduation, Gabriel says he’d like to attend a tech school to learn more about computers.
