12:55 p.m., Monday, Sept. 7 – Dispatch received a 911 hang-up call. A deputy responded and spoke with the resident, who explained there was no emergency and their child had accidentally called 911. An honest mistake, but apparently one with excellent emergency-services training. Maple Avenue
Gone for a ride
3:37 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 9 – A white Loeook-brand 26-inch adult e-bike was reported stolen, but the theft occurred about two weeks earlier. Apparently, it decided to take an unscheduled ride of its own. 1st Street
Odd calls
1:25 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 10 – A male subject has repeatedly called the complainant in the past to ask about government conspiracy issues. Caller ID provided a phone number, and the deputy likely identified the caller. The complainant will also consider blocking the number, which may be the simplest way to end this particular investigation into the mysteries of the telephone. 4th Street
Flagging the Issue
2:29 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 10 – A construction company called to advise that a flagger would be in the area the following day for construction-related traffic control. Morris Street
Concerned caller
6:56 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 10 – An anonymous caller reported safety concerns about juveniles riding e-bikes in the area. A deputy checked the area but was unable to locate the riders. Apparently, they had already pedaled out of the picture. Pioneer Parkway
