Fired 8:48 p.m., Friday, June 5 — Law enforcement was advised of a reported structure fire on Washington Avenue. While emergency responders were en route, the caller reported the property owner had been contacted and there was no issue. Fire crews checked the scene and cleared shortly afterward. Hammered by dawn 6:00 a.m., Sunday, June 7 — A caller reported hearing what sounded like someone using a sledgehammer early in the morning, which surely would be a rude awakening. A deputy monitored the area but did not hear any unusual noise and found no apparent problem. Washington Avenue
