The Quilt & Fiber Arts Museum’s annual Porch Sale, held July 18–29, raised an impressive $15,500 — $5,000 more than last year — thanks to the generosity of numerous donors, the dedication of about 30 volunteers, and the enthusiastic turnout of hundreds of shoppers.

Co-chaired by Marie Gallagher and Mary Kay Talbot, the sale featured beautifully priced fabric (always the top seller), vintage quilts from the 1800s, and unique finds like a $200 serger, the most expensive item sold. Proceeds will support the museum’s operating budget, helping to sustain its mission of celebrating fiber arts through exhibitions and education. With a large supply of fabric remaining, a Pop-Up Porch Sale is anticipated in September — perfect for fiber artists gearing up for holiday projects.
