Where fiber takes flight: Pacific Northwest Quilt & Fiber Arts Museum announces ‘Birds of a Fiber 2026’

In La Conner, creativity has wings. The Pacific Northwest Quilt & Fiber Arts Museum is calling artists to submit their work for Birds of a Fiber 2026, an annual exhibition that celebrates the artistry of birds in fiber and textile form.

Birds of a Fiber 2026: Call for entries now open

The Pacific Northwest Quilt & Fiber Arts Museum invites artists to submit work for Birds of a Fiber 2026, its annual avian-themed fiber art exhibition. Entries are open until Dec. 1, with accepted works on view Jan. 21–March 29, 2026. Each artist may submit up to two pieces celebrating the beauty and spirit of birds through fiber and textile art.

Winter hours for the museum begin Nov. 5, with the museum open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Visitors can explore a variety of exhibitions and educational programs inside the historic Gaches Mansion on South Second Street.
