We’re two months into the new year, and the question on traveler’s minds:
Where is everybody going?
You may want to know for brainstorming reasons, or to avoid the crowds. Cities, countries, regions and trends change year to year. And so do we.
You’ve just finished reading Andrew McCarthy’s story in AFAR about his trip with his son walking the Camino, the Way of St. James. You’ve always dreamed of doing this.
Or you saw a photo in National Geographic about a hill tribe in Papua New Guinea. A side note said there are now tours available.
Perhaps a mention of the Dalai Lama turning eighty-nine years old on a television news brief caught your eye.
You’ve always been curious about Tibet.
Your favorite book is Under the Tuscan Sun. Italy’s calling you.
Whatever your reason to travel, ideas help.
Below are my picks for 2025. I’ve based my choices on feedback from fellow travelers.
Enjoy, Teri
