Linda Jean Hilsinger Bos was a loving wife and mother who passed peacefully at home surrounded by love, after a yearlong battle with cancer.
Linda was born at a West Seattle hospital. She grew up in Anacortes, graduating in 1970 from Anacortes High. Growing up, she met the three best friends a woman could ask for. They would go on to be life long friends. After high school, she moved to Oakland before finding her way back to the Valley. She moved to Concrete where she met Jana and instantly became best friends. They worked for the forest service a couple of summers; then decided to go north to Alaska getting a job on the Mokahana. A few good years were spent up there. In Alaska, Linda met Mark Mackiewicz. In the winter of 1982 she welcomed her son Tanner. Mack and Linda went their separate ways. Linda again found her way back to the Valley, and in the late summer of 1987, she welcomed the birth of her daughter Thea. Linda chose La Conner to raise her children. That’s where she met the love of her life, Robert Bos. They were married in 1989 at the Shelter Bay club house. Linda’s little family doubled. Robert had two children of his own, Renata and David. Over their 37 years of marriage, Linda and Robert would have countless adventures, spending summers either on the Oregon coast or at Lake Chelan while her children were still young and many camping trips to Baker Lake. Linda had a beautiful Harvey, which she and Robert would ride whenever they had the chance, even to destinations as far as Montana and Wyoming. Even taking some long trips to Montana and Wyoming. When their children grew older, they traded the Harley for an RV. They would drive down to Arizona in the late winter and come back in early spring. They enjoyed going out to Fort Casey on the weekends in the summer and their loyal German Shepherd Ruby was always along for the ride.
Linda is survived in life by the love of her husband Robert Bos, her son Tanner (Anneke), her daughter Thea (Jacob), her stepdaughter Renata (Kit), her stepson David and her adoptive daughter Renee Stewart, as well as her grandchildren Brandon, Rachel, Katelyn, Kalina, Ainsley, Nico, Paisley and her granddaughter Jasper, who held a special place in Linda’s heart. Linda also is survived by her older brother Dennis Hilsinger, her little sister Lora (Michael) Grant and her baby brother Dan (Patty) Hilsinger. Linda has a number of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She will always be their Aunt Linda.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Lane and Norma Hilsinger, her sister-in-law Sharon (Dennis) Hilsinger, sister-in-law Diane Tweden, her nephews Jacob Hilsinger and Baby Ray.
