I live right off of Chuckanut Drive just across the border from the Skagit County line so Chuckanut is my route to La Conner, where I go to almost every day.

Recently I saw a sign that the road was closed and that I had to go back to Bellingham and take the I-5 freeway south.  I drove up Chuckanut and saw a huge  rock pile.

I’m wondering why it is taking so long for the pile to be removed.  I know it ain’t easy but it’s causing people like me to double the time of their trips South.

Parts of Chuckanut Drive were carved out of the slopes coming down from next door mountains and hills so it’s not surprising to me to know it happened but I would think that both counties would have a way to remove the rocks in a short period of time.

Please please please get your asses over there and allow me to head down Chuckanut to get to La Conner.
