The La Conner High baseball and softball teams hit some potholes on their road trip to Class A Sultan on Tuesday afternoon.
The La Conner baseball nine, rebuilding after heavy graduation losses last spring, fell 19-1 in their season debut.
The La Conner softball team dropped to 0-2 on the campaign with a 25-6 non-conference setback to the Turks.
The Braves baseball squad will look to even its slate when La Conner hosts Muckleshoot Tribal School this Friday. The March 28 non-league test is scheduled to start at 4 p.m.
The La Conner softballers dropped an earlier 15-1 decision at Muckleshoot. Della Damien managed La Conner’s lone base hit in the March 18 setback. La Conner resumes non-league softball action with a home doubleheader this Saturday at 12 Noon opposite Tonasket.
Both La Conner clubs open NW2B/1B play April 1 at home with Concrete. The first pitch for both contests is set for 4 p.m.
