Tuesday, March 18, 8:50 a.m. Caller requested a welfare check on a homeless female who has been seen around La Conner the past several days. A deputy located her but she refused all services that could be provided. According to local businesses, she is not causing any issues. Pioneer Market.

Wednesday, March 19, 7:20 a.m. Another caller requested a check on a transient female walking in the area. The caller was contacted and advised multiple contacts had been made and there were no crimes being committed. The female was not in danger and again refused services. Morris and Second Streets.

Friday, March 21, 9:16 a.m. Trespassers at the La Conner Marina refused to leave when asked, forcing the harbormaster to call for backup. Deputies arrived, got everyone to go their separate ways, and restored peace to the docks. No word on whether a plank was walked.

Friday, March 21, 7:49 p.m. A business alarm went off, but deputies who responded found all doors and windows secure and no obvious issues. No one fessed up. La Conner Landing.

Saturday, March 22, 12:12 a.m. Caller requested medical assistance for an adult male who was not feeling well. No wonder. The cause was determined to be an overdose once medics arrived. Deputies were then called, but no drugs were found on site. No information on whether the patient is feeling better. Park Street.

Saturday, March 22, 3:13 p.m. La Conner residents aren’t only concerned for the welfare of the unhoused, but they keep a keen eye out for pets who may be under duress. A caller reported a dog locked in a vehicle potentially in distress. By the time the deputy arrived the vehicle was gone. Washington and Third.

Saturday, March 22, 7:05 p.m. A caller, seemingly not in a hurry to drive anywhere, reported their 2004 Chevy Suburban stolen — sometime in the past two days. Deputies took a report and checked for suspects. The vehicle remains missing, possibly parked somewhere the owner forgot about. La Conner Marina.
