The streets of Edison were packed Feb. 23 as a flock of costumed revelers strutted their stuff for the town’s beloved Chicken Parade, part of the annual Edison Bird Festival.
Despite overcast skies, the egg-citement never cracked. The rain held off, and the crowd clucked their way through town in a flurry of feathers, beaks, and creative costumes. Attendees went all out, donning handmade chicken hats, full-feathered bodysuits, and even inflatable chick ensembles. One particularly bold parade-goer roamed the streets in a giant white hen costume, while others accessorized with bright boas and poultry-inspired headwear.
