La Conner’s first Queer Art Walk drew nearly 100 people downtown to celebrate LGBTQ+ artists and amplify queer visibility in the heart of town.

Presented by the La Conner Thrives Association, the event invited locals and visitors to explore queer artwork displayed at downtown businesses.

Attendees picked up maps and artist rosters at Gilkey Square and made their way through town, visiting queer artists whose work was featured at participating locations including Mystic Art Supply, Raven’s Cup, and Step Outside. The map guided visitors from venue to venue, connecting artists with community members and local businesses.

The event highlighted queer voices in the arts while driving foot traffic into La Conner’s downtown core. Organizers said the strong turnout and enthusiastic response laid the groundwork for future queer art walks.

The Queer Art Walk was part of a larger lineup of Pride Month activities in town, which also included a drag show, a boat parade, and a Pride prom.
